The Czech Republic joined world wide Squash 2016 day with a lot of activities. Czech squash association (CASQ) organized a fundraising
activity.

In Cape Town, South Africa, Villager Squash Club hosted a "Last Man Standing" Tournament in celebration of World Squash Day. It turned out that the tournament should have been titled "Last Person Standing" since a women, Siyoli Lusaseni, was crowned the Champion, after 5 hours of squash and 24 games with different squash enthusiasts.

"Grudge Cup" at Delhi

The organisers had minimum time to get this event organised. Against all expectations we had 74 players participating though a max of 50 had been planned. Such was the excitement!! Online registrations.....the first of its kind for a tournament in North India...proved very popular. 30 odd entries came through this route.

We had over two hundred pre-registered players and must have had 500+ folks wander in and out during the day.

Peter Briggs et al really know how to run a squash event! Nan O’Neill was incredible controlling the greeting desk all day with a total take that was well into the thousands.

World squash Day for 2016 was celebrated at the Kings County Squash Club in Kentville, Nova Scotia, Canada.

As far as I know, we were the only club in the province to hold a planned event to participate in the world wide effort to strengthen the 2016 Olympic bid. Thanks to everyone who came out. Everyone had a blast.
